Adam Smith as a statue in China!

Most of you know about my love story with Miss Market! Some of you also know of my quite positive feelings about China (and currently less good feelings about the Chinese stock market) and here is another positive and, dare I say, surprising sign of how the market economy (of the west) slowly forces the planned economy (of the east) out of the door! Despite the crisis and all the excitement it has aroused in the Marxist camps (in the west, particularly).....

Allegedly, there is a huge statue of Adam Smith on the Campus of the South Western University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China. Imagine that thirty years ago, or twenty years ago, or perhaps ten years ago....

I think it is time for some Swedish business school to copy this move!
