The Saab factory – Jerry, that’s in Sweden!

I cannot resist saying what everyone should say in the debate about Saab. Isn’t it obvious that Saab, or any other car manufacturer, cannot continue to build cars in Sweden paying 200kr/hour to its workers when the Chines pay their workers 20kr/hour? Why should it be so difficult to understand this?

Seinfeld lovers out there might recall the incident with Jerry’s Saab in the Puerto Rican Day episode:

JERRY: Vandelay. Wait a second. Mr. Pennypacker, if you're here, and Mr. Vandelay is also here, then who's watching the factory?
KRAMER: The factory?
JERRY: The Saab factory?
KRAMER: Jerry, that's in Sweden.

As a true car lover I surely hope the Saab factory will be around in the future as well but I doubt that it will be in Sweden though……

PS. BTW. The Pensky file has nothing to do with the firm Penske (the potential buyer of the other GM brand, Saturn)!!!
